"If we take care of the fishes, then the fishing will take care of itself."
Trout Unlimited dedicates its efforts toward conservation and protects our rivers and fisheries for generations to come.
Trout Unlimited was formed by a union of 16 fishermen and their love of trout fishing and their growing disgust with the states practice of stocking its waters with "cookie cutter trout's". These men were convinced that Michigan's trout streams could turn out far superior fish if left to their own devices. For nearly fifty years Trout Unlimited continues to make an impact with objectives of developing programs and recommendations based on the very best information available. The organization is comprised of 152,000 volunteers in 450 chapters nationwide and actively involved in conservation issues.
